My New Passion – Basketball

A few months ago I decided to try out for the basketball team. With no practice or experience I got into the team. I started practicing and over time I got better. Our first tournament came up right after that (RCS Cup). I played well and was the top scorer. The tournament we competed in was TM cup. By then I have been practicing a lot. I was also the top scorer in that tournament. I really enjoy basketball and will continue to keep practicing and working hard.

Let’s Begin – IGCSE

This year I begin an important milestone in my school year. This year marks the start of my IGCSE studies. I chose the engineering stream. I chose the engineering stream in hopes to one day study Aeronautical Engineering. One of the most challenging subjects in the engineering stream is Additional Mathematics. I have found this subject hard and extremely challenging. Luckily with help of my dad and my tuition teacher I have been improving at a fast pace. The topic I found the hardest so far was Logarithmic Equations. That’s the topic I had to spend most of my time on. IGCSE curriculum have been challenging but I will keep on continuing to work hard.

Hope Youth Corp Nepal 2016

For Christmas on 2016 my family decided to go to Nepal to serve. Our church held a programme called Hope Youth Corps and it was based in Nepal. I was not excited to go. When we go there i was totally wrong about how I would feel. I met so many kind and outgoing people. I was roommates with Timothy Elzinga and Danny Grandy. They were really fun people to be around. I also started talking to these brothers named James and Douglas. The trip ended up being extremely fun and I leaned many new things. My favourite moment of the trip was when we went trekking near the Himalaya’s. When we got to the highest point of the trek, the view was breathtaking. I really enjoyed the trip and I would definitely do another hope youth corps.

Today (10/03/2012) we had an amazing top of the league match with Cita Buana School. One of strikers was away and our goal keeper was ill and came late. Undermanned ,we were down 3 -1. However we played our best and fought back for a 4 – 4 draw to maintain our chances of winning the league title. What a match! Check the next post to see the JSFA website report on our match.
